GRAND CANYON

One of the seven wonders of the natural world, the Grand Canyon, a chasm carved by the Colorado River and also a geological sight to behold. Most of it's shielded over Grand Canyon National Park, which celebrates its centennial in 2019 with a series of special events and programming.

The park consists of two different parts the remotes, quieter North Rim, and the more-visited South Rim. northern Arizona vacation rental

The North Rim, available between May and October, provides accommodation, dining, camping and trekking opportunities. Even the South Rim has a lot of the above choices, in addition to galleries, shops, a museum, and also a massive visitor center.

You may also rent bicycles, ride the famed mules, and have a motor coach tour of this South Rim's highlights, visit historical park arrangements, partake in ranger programs and combine educational expeditions, to mention a few activities.

Just beyond the park's South Rim entrance, the little community of Tusayan delivers visitor-friendly jobs such as hotels, restaurants, gas stations and much more. Stop by the Grand Canyon Chamber Visitor Center at Tusayan to book lodging, pick up brochures and maps, get advice about the free shuttle into the park, reserve tours and find out about other attractions.  Northern Arizona attractions

WILLIAMS, ARIZONA

Nearby, the city of Williams is popularly referred to as the"Gateway to the Grand Canyon," but it is more than only a pass-through location --there are lots of things to research. The city is the southern terminus of the scenic Grand Canyon Railway, which works vintage locomotives and conservative passenger coaches who chug as much as a historic train station in the South Rim.

PAGE, ARIZONA

The Grand Canyon and surrounding communities aren't the sole sexy attractions of Northern Arizona. The town of Page functions as a jumping-off stage to the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and the sky-blue waters of Lake Powell, which straddle the Arizona Utah border.

Hiking, boating (including houseboat rentals), fishing and other water sports may fill your daylight hours. Have a tour of Glen Canyon Dam, which made the lake across the Colorado River.

Make sure you book a tour to visit Antelope Canyon, a sculptural slot canyon among Arizona's most-photographed places. The other hashtag magnet is Horseshoe Bend, a great loop of the Colorado River. Northern Arizona boating

It's possible to see and photograph it in a pond over or view it up-close-and-personal by linking a smooth-water rafting excursion that floats out of the dam into the back and bend.

For that matter, guided tours are an excellent way to find all of Northern Arizona.
